Whilst engineering is a critical element of a successful design,
creativity and architectural form are focus points in tensile structure
design at TexArc. The very fact that every part of the finished product
is highly visible and visual means that all structural elements should
be not only be of high quality but look the part, as well as being part
of the final design concept.
As design consultants we provide independent expert advice, emanating from our track record of creating accurate and practical structures of elegance, subtlety and longevity. We work closely with many clients to develop ideas and practical applications even prior to large construction projects being commissioned. In so doing, we provide CAD technology and renderings to enable clients to budget on costings and alternative materials, making it easy to adapt, add or alter designs in their conceptual stages.
When so required, we design structures which can be installed
even when site access is limited, and develop structures which impose no
additional loads on surrounding, existing buildings (e.g. where all the
loads are contained within the structures themselves). There are many
ways to view each project and working with our clients we will examine
different solutions before arriving at the final concept. This constant
challenge of creative design and application to the project is what we
thrive on.
Our proven track record assists in advising clients on how the structure will look and perform within a wider architectural context. For clients who require more input, we prefer to be involved in projects from their conception, and to guide our clients on which fabric and design works best for the application to hand.
